Flex GLM Joint Supplement for Dogs FAQ

Flex GLM Dog – Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How much do I feed / how long will each tub last?

The basic feeding rate is 2g per 10Kg (22lb) bodyweight of dog per day.

For example a 30Kg (66lb) dog would have 6g per day. In this case a 200g tub would last 33 days and the 480g would last 80 days.

The measure provided is graded in ml. Feed 2-3ml (1.5-2.25g) per 10Kg per day according to the level of support required.

For the first two weeks it is advisable to feed 4ml (3g) per 10Kg bodyweight per day.

Q. How long will it take to see an improvement in my dog?

This will depend on your dog but usually two weeks to one month.

Q. What levels of active nutrients are in Flex GLM Dog?

Per 1g of supplement:

Green Lipped Mussel - 0.17g (170mg)

Vitamin E – 6.25mg

Vitamin C – 6.25mg

Selenium – 0.021mg

Zinc – 4.2mg

Magnesium – 8.3mg

Q. Why is Flex GLM different from other joint supplements?

Nupafeed Flex GLM is an exceptionally high quality product which contains proven levels of Green Lipped Mussel, far more than most other supplements. Our Mussel is also of the highest quality, retaining exceptionally high levels of the beneficial fatty acids.

Q. Has Green Lipped Mussel been proven to support joints?

Yes, Green Lipped Mussel has been shown to be effective in humans and dogs.

Q. Is Flex GLM suitable for dogs without joint problems?

Yes, joint surfaces are especially dependant on having the right nutrients available for their maintenance. If you have a dog that is likely to require joint support due to hard work or conformation, it is best to start using a joint supplement as soon as possible.  Flex GLM also supports many other aspects of general health including skin quality, gastric health and immunity.

Q. Can I feed too much Flex GLM?

Flex GLM contains selenium which can become toxic in excess. The level in Flex GLM is very safe and you can feed a double amount on a long term basis as long as you are not also supplementing selenium elsewhere.

Q. Is Flex GLM safe to feed with other supplements and medicines?

Flex GLM can be given with other supplements so long as they do not contain high levels of selenium.

Flex GLM can be fed alongside non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug treatment (medication prescribed by your vet for joint problems).
