Complete Support Supplement for Horses

For the ultimate nutritional boost to help your horse through the darker months, feed BSC-SeaBuckthorn.

The problem with winter

Stress associated with stabling and handling can have notable physiological effects even in calmly behaved horses. It suppresses immunity, promotes inflammation, slows healing and much more.

Gastric ulcers are especially associated with stabling. It is nearly impossible to mimic field grazing and stress is now understood to play a major role in the formation of glandular and intestinal ulcers.

The hindgut is also at risk. Nutritional changes in grass and stored feeds can disrupt the hindgut biome, a key component of immune health and proper nutrition. Inflammation here can negatively affect the whole body.

Stabling also increases exposure to allergens from bedding and stored feeds, presenting additional challenges for immunity and respiratory health. Cold weather and reduced ventilation also expose horses to a greater risk of infection.

BSC-SeaBuckthorn – The Ultimate Winter Boost

SeaBuckthorn is a natural plant extract that has long been used in traditional medicine. Its highly effective blend of anti-oxidant, prebiotic and omega compounds work throughout the body to support immunity and good health.

SeaBuckthorn nourishes the entire gastrointestinal tract, helping to support healing and natural defence against acid and irritation. It has been shown to support gastric health in horses subjected to stabling and food deprivation. A highly effective prebiotic, SeaBuckthorn also helps the hindgut ‘good bacteria’ to thrive.

With over 190 active nutrients, including Omega-7 and anti-oxidant flavonoids, carotenoids and phytosterols, Seabuckthorn is the ultimate super-food offering a far more diverse and valuable nutrient profile than formulated supplements.

BSC-SeaBuckthorn is a highly palatable liquid supplement. We work with The British SeaBuckthorn Company (BSC) in order to ensure a fresh and traceable product.

From £67 per 5Ltr bottle (56 days maintenance for a 500-600 Kg horse).
